Clients may be eligible for funding from the sources/organizations listed below. Client’s/families may apply to these organization and fill out a form to request funding.
The Autism Funding Unit (AFU): Music therapy services can be covered as part of an individual’s AFU funding between the ages of 6 and 19 years old. To do this, send a request to pay form to the AFU and register your music therapist as a service provider for music therapy. Your music therapist will then invoice the Autism Funding Unit for payments.
CKNW Orphan’s fund: Music therapy can be funded for families with children in need.

Other possible sources: Worksafe BC, Adoption Services BC, and ICBC.
Tax deduction: The cost of music therapy for someone with a mental or physical impairment can be claimed on their/their family’s tax return.
